Scope:
The cable stayed pedestrian bridge spans Westlake Avenue. The bridge (constructed by others) had experienced movement and subsequently the cable stayed structure required adjustment. To accomplish this, ZCC install temporary shoring and temporarily raised the bridge to allow the cable stays to be re-tensioned to their design loads.

Scope:
Construct 4 highway bridges including 2 each 11’ deep steel plate girder bridges with clear spans of 240’. The steel plate girders were installed over a deep ravine using a combination of temporary support structures and three crane picks involving 500 ton capacity cranes.

Scope:
Construct concrete substructure footings, abutments and columns. Superstructure scope included assembling owner-furnished steel for the five span bridge. This included assembly and erection of two prefabricated steel truss 145’ spans.

Scope:
Assist with design and budgeting; construct 390 LF Structural Steel 19 span bridge on steep side slope between Northup Way and the Eastrail pedestrian bicycle corridor. The steep slope and the presence of low overhead utilities necessitated several innovations to transport and erect the structural components utilizing, dollies, rollers and winches.

Scope:
Erect Structural and Specialty Steel. Initial scope on the project involved construction of a temporary structural steel work protection deck designed to protect vehicle traffic while the new building was constructed over the I-5 express lanes and main line SB I-5. This 7,000 SF deck involved placement of steel beams that cantilevered more than 50% of their length. The structure was then decked and maintained for a period of 4 years while the Convention Center was constructed above. Following construction of the building the work deck was removed at night working from the Express lanes and mainline I-5 in restricted work windows that required careful planning. Building upon that successful installation, ZCC was awarded an additional 160 task order scope additions to construct technical steel installations in and around the new building utilizing ZCC’s in-house ironworker crews.
